This week, the Aliventures blog celebrates its second birthday.
(Hurrah!)
It’s been a fantastic couple of years, and I’ve been lucky enough to gather a wonderful band of intelligent, articulate, engaged readers: I appreciate every single comment and email. Thank you! π
I’ve realised, though, that Aliventures has grown a lot … and you might not know that there are some new ways to keep up with things here.
So, here they are…
Get Updates Straight to Your RSS Reader or Inbox
Would you like to get every new post delivered straight to you? Just grab the RSS feed by clicking here or sign up for email updates (in the box below):
(If you’re not sure what RSS is, I’d recommend going with the email option.)
Join the Newsletter
I’ve just revamped the Aliventures newsletter. It’s now a short, weekly dose of Β free writing advice and inspiration – along with regular free mini-ebooks, and exclusive samples of my new paid-for ebooks.
You’ll get a copy of my mini-ebook How to Find Time for Your WritingΒ as soon as you’ve signed up.
You can find out all about the newsletter, and join it, here.
Follow Me on Twitter
Since I started Aliventures, Twitter has grownΒ hugely. There’s a great community of writers and bloggers there, so if you’re not already tweeting, now’s a great time to start.
You can find me as @aliventures on Twitter. I’m on there most days, and I’m always happy to answer questions: just put “@aliventures” at the start of your question so that it gets to me.
You’ll often find me tweeting about my writing-in-progress:
“Like” Aliventures on Facebook
If you’re on Facebook, swing by the Aliventures page and hit “like” (or hey, just hit it in the box in the sidebar!) I link to all my new posts from my Facebook page, and I also talk about any news.
Today, I put up a sneak-preview of my latest ebook cover…
Whew!
However you choose to stay connected, I’m thrilled to have you on board, and I hope you’ll stick around as Aliventures grows and develops over the next few months and years. π
You forgot the binoculars-through-the-window method of following you.
Wait, you mean that one isn’t officially endorsed? Uh…
Vlad Dolezal’s last blog post ..How to Get Unstuck
…you’re lucky my husband doesn’t read my blog… π
Many congratulations, Ali! I know you’ll just keep going from strength to strength. x
Thanks, Lorna! π
Happy 2nd birthday!
I’m so glad I stumbled across you online.
Keep up the great work!

Nikki’s last blog post ..i’m lovin’: ronna detrick, the tudors, hot shoes
Hey, I’m thrilled you found me too! π

Ali:
Are you including things in the newsletter that in the RSS feed?
Shlomo
Shlomo’s last blog post ..6 Great Sources for Cool Web Fonts
Generally not: I used to put in links to my most recent articles, but (a) it took a while (because I wrote summaries too) and (b) when I did the survey, no-one seemed to care too much about that π
I’ll occasionally link to a post here on Aliventures, but the newsletter content is otherwise entirely new stuff.
Ali, I noticed you haven’t yet gotten on Google+. I know it’s yet another social network to keep up with, but I’ve been making good connections with quality people there while spending a bit less time on Twitter and Facebook.
John Soares’s last blog post ..How Tai Chi Makes Me a Better Writer
I haven’t yet — I’m waiting to see whether it goes the way of Google wave… π I don’t want to hesitate too long, but I also don’t want to jump on every social media bandwagon that goes past!
Congrats on the 2 year blogiversary!!!
Sonia G Medeiros’s last blog post ..Why Hop on the Merry-Go-ROWnd?
Cheers! π
Ali, congrats on two years. As someone who JUST started a new blog, and a new writing experiment, I appreciate the inspiration. π
Tara’s last blog post ..Inaugural 90/90/90 Experiment
Ali,
Happy Birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Ali’s blog, happy birthday to you.
It seems just like yesterday that I happened to come across your writing and, later, your blog/newsletter.
Here’s wishing that you are able to live your dreams. You are the rock star of the blogosphere. Hail!
Cheerio.
