Blog Critiques: Find Out EXACTLY How to Improve Your Blog

The blog critiques are not currently available. If you’d like to be on the waiting list for next time I offer them, please drop me an email at ali@aliventures.com.

How’s your blog doing?

I’m sure that, like me, you’ve read plenty of good advice about blogging. (Some of that advice might well have been mine, either here on Aliventures, or on ProBlogger, Copyblogger or Smart Blogger.)

But all the good advice in the world can’t compare with having someone look at your blog and tell you exactly what you need.

You could spend weeks  – or months, or years! – trying to learn all there is to know about blogging and writing, and doing your best to apply it all to your own situation.

There is a shortcut, though.

Book Your Blog Critique Today for Just $39 and You’ll Get…

  • Warm reassurance about what you’re already doing well, because I know it can be hard to recognise your own strengths.
  • A detailed list of tweaks and fixes to improve your blog even further: I won’t just point out problems, I’ll suggest solutions too.
  • A full review of one blog post (up to 1,000 words) with in-depth feedback and recommended edits.

Only available until the end of Friday 9th February: book yours now so you don’t miss out!

This Could Change the Course of Your Blog

Over the years, I’ve had a lot of feedback about my writing and my websites.

Without exception, it’s been helpful. In fact, without some of the early feedback I had from blogging mentors and blog editors, I’d probably have quit blogging within a few months. (Instead, I’m still at it … and it’s almost ten years now since I quit my day job.)

And if I’d not had feedback from writing peers and from my wonderful tutors, I’d never have finished a single novel, let alone the three I’ve now published!

However, I know just how daunting it can be to ask someone for feedback on your work: I literally shook at the knees the first time I read out my writing at a writers’ group meeting.

When I critique your blog, I promise to be kind … but honest.  But I also know that it wouldn’t serve you for me to simply say “great job!” and leave it at that.

How it Works

Step #1: You click the “Get Your Critique” button and pay me your $39 (via PayPal).

Step #2: Once you’ve paid, you’ll be shown a simple form to fill in, though you don’t need to complete it straight away. You’ve got three months to book in your critique.

If you don’t complete the form soon after paying, I’ll email you the link to it so you don’t lose it. I’ll also send you a reminder if I haven’t heard from you after a couple of months have gone by.

Step #3: I’ll critique your blog and review your post within two weeks of you filling in the form.

If you have any difficulties or questions, I’m always very happy to help by email (ali@aliventures.com), or you can message me via my Facebook page here.

What Other Bloggers Have Said

I’ve reviewed a lot of blogs over the years. Here are just a few of the lovely “thank you” emails I’ve had:

“Thank you, Ali, for your thoughtful and thorough critique of my website. After the hectic holidays, I plan to try again to get this project on track, and your comments will be very helpful in providing focus. ” (Paul Bauer, paulmbauer.com)

“Just wanted to say thank you for your helpful (and kind!) review of my website.” (Anon)

“Thanks for the critique. I found it really useful and have just worked out how to do some new things on the Dashboard of the blog, thanks to your suggestions.” (Rebecca Adams, Travel Write Change)

What if Your Blog Isn’t Ready?

Maybe you’d love my feedback, but you feel like your blog isn’t ready yet. I’d encourage you to get me to critique your blog anyway: you might well find that some of the things you were worrying about are actually fine.

If you do want a bit of time to make some changes before the critique, though, that’s no problem: you can book now, then send me your form at any point in the next three months.

(If you end up needing more time than that, e.g. due to illness or family circumstances, that’s no problem; drop me an email and we’ll sort it out!)

What if You Feel the Critique Was a Waste of Money?

If you’re unhappy with the critique, just let me know: I’ll be happy to redo it completely (taking your feedback / requests into account), or if you prefer, I’ll refund you in full.

I won’t be taking any more orders for blog critiques after Friday 9th February, so make sure you pay for yours before then. Remember, you’ll have up to three months to fill in the form, if you need some extra time:
